STATEMENT
Mi trabajo gira entorno a lo orgánico combinando distintos elementos y formas re-inventadas y re-interpretadas con la combinación y conexión entre diferentes materiales y técnicas.
El proceso creativo en mis piezas es igual de importante que el resultado final, pues no realizo ningún boceto previo: a partir de una mancha que genero con tinta o con cualquier material (a veces puede ser una imperfección del propio papel), se crea toda la imagen, conectando unos elementos con otros, creando un tejido de elementos no predeterminados.
Dada la naturaleza de este proceso creativo, se puede establecer cierta similitud con el tejer, pues a partir de un punto se genera todo el tejido orgánico que posteriormente conforma la obra final.
Trabajo sobre distintos soportes y como muralista traslado mi trabajo minucioso a los muros, conectando con el muro y su entorno, estableciendo una relación cercana y personal.
My work evolves around the organic combining different elements and shapes which are reinvented and reinterpreted in combination and connexion with different materials and techniques.
The creative process in my work it’s equally important as the final result. Because I don’t make any previous sketch: the entire image is created from a stain made with ink or any other material (sometimes it could be an imperfection on the paper), binding elements and creating a weave without any predetermined elements.
Given the nature of this creative process, where the organic weave which later becomes the final artwork is generated from a single dot, there is some similarity in this process to the process of knitting itself.
I usually work on different surfaces and translate my detailed work from paper to the wall, connecting wall with its environment, establishing a intimate and personal link.
